Our First 100 Years

Founded in 1923 as the Shorecrest Outdoor School, Shorecrest served the children of seasonal visitors in its open-air, waterfront classrooms at its original location on North Shore Drive in St. Petersburg. Once a school With determined leadership, dedicated teachers, and engaged students and families, the School grew to become the premier PK-12 independent school in Pinellas County.

2023 marked Shorecrest's centennial, making it one of the longest tenured independent schools in the State of Florida.
