Co-curricular activities are programs, experiences, or events that complement and enhance the existing Shorecrest curriculum. Shorecrest educates a wide range of students from 3-years-old through 12th grade, and co-curricular opportunities are different in each division. From teacher-led after school activities in The Experiential and Lower Schools, to student-run service clubs in the Upper School, opportunities abound at Shorecrest.
Clubs and activities for students in Alpha and JK are offered after school through Shorecrest Auxiliary Programs. Opportunities vary by season and by year, but may include:
- Spanish Club - early exposure to Spanish language through stories, art and games.
- Little Builders - for students who love to build with blocks, LEGOs and other building materials for young children
- Dance - ballet classes for beginners
After school clubs and activities are offered in 6-week sessions, with an evolving catalog of opportunities per session. Activity fees vary by club. Visit the After School page to learn more.
At Shorecrest, an affinity group is a group of community members with a shared, underrepresented presence with the purposes of empathy, support and education.
