Ribbon Cutting on Haskell Field, September 20

Athletics Upper School News

The Shorecrest Community is invited to celebrate the completion of the Centennial Stadium Project with a Ribbon Cutting on Haskell Field at the first Chargers Varsity Football home game on our new turf field. Join us on Friday, September 20. Kickoff is at 7pm; Ribbon Cutting will occur during halftime. Enjoy entertainment from our Chargers cheerleaders, fanfare, spirited giveaways, food trucks (Colony Grill and Softee the King) and more!

The Centennial Stadium Project fully reimagined our athletics complex over the summer. The focal point within this project is the replacement of the former football field with a top-of-the-line, multi-sport turf field, which accommodates numerous sports including football, soccer, track & field, and - for the first time - girls and boys lacrosse. Circling the turf field is a new, rubberized track crowned by new LED lighting and a video scoreboard.

"Elevating this part of Shorecrest's campus enables us to have a location for the entire school community to come together for all-school events," says Head of School Nancy Spencer. "It would not be possible without our giving community, who partner with Director of Advancement Michael Gillis and myself to bring projects with purpose to life for the benefit of our students and community."
