Avery Lurie '27 Awarded for Writing

Upper School News

Shorecrest Upper School's student newspaper, The Chronicle, is proud to announce that their newest editor, Avery Lurie '27, recently won an award for her Valentine's special entitled "Snap Me, Snap Me Not: What is with Gen Z dating culture?" The article was accompanied by a Gen Z dating how to.

"It's adorable and captures Avery's unique voice. We are so lucky to have writers and leaders like Avery on our staff," said the newspaper faculty advisor, Kristie Dowling.

Read it here on The Chronicle website. The article was also reposted on the SNO Sites website (the industry standard in website platform creators for scholastic journalism). Getting a story published on Best of SNO is difficult. They "receive over 100 submissions per day, and only about 15% are selected for publication."
