Students Make Blankets for Project Linus

Upper School News Service News

Thank you to everyone in the Shorecrest community who supported the Upper School Interact Club's car wash. The funds were used to purchase supplies for making blankets for Project Linus, an organization that donates blankets to children in local hospitals.

Members of the Interact Club got together last weekend and made 13 blankets to donate. The blankets were then donated to Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital. Young patients are offered the blanket of their choice during their time in the hospital.

Interact Clubs serve local communities, learn about the world and develop leadership skills. Clubs are sponsored by local Rotary clubs, and organize two projects every year: one that helps their school or community, and one that promotes international understanding.
