Pinellas County History Day Competition
Source/Author: David Hodgson, Ron Heller
March 10, 2015
On March 6 and 7, twenty Middle School students with Mr. Hodgson and a group of Upper School students with Mr. Heller travelled to Osceola High School and the University of South Florida – St. Petersburg to compete in the 17th Pinellas County History Day. This was one of the largest county fairs to date!
This year’s theme for the competition was “Leadership and Legacy in History.” Students had to research and analyze a topic in history and then create an exhibit, documentary, performance, website, or author a historical paper. Students who placed either first or second are invited to compete in the Florida State History Fair on May 3-5, 2015, at Tallahassee Community College.
