KB B’day Bowling 2015

Amidst all the celebrations leading up to Baccalureate and Commencement, members of the Class of 2015 gathered at Sunrise Lanes on Saturday, May 9, to celebrate what would have been Kyle B.'s 18th birthday. A member of this soon-to-graduating class, Kyle passed away in June 2012.
Kyle’s parents, sister, both sets of grandparents, as well as other family and friends joined 27 members of the Class of 2015 to bowl and spend time together to reminisce. This is the third year of the KB B’day Bowling event, which has served as a fundraiser to support the Expect the Best Award, the Concert Band and the Varsity Bowling team. Including this year’s proceeds, the event has raised $1,500 over its three years.
This year’s proceeds of nearly $500 will provide for needed Varsity Bowling team gear.
All three winners of the Expect the Best Award (Paul R. in 2013, Molly R. in 2014, and Stephen S. in 2015) attended the event.
The event has always been a bittersweet gathering and was even more so this year with honoring and remembering Kyle as the Class of 2015 gets ready to go their separate ways to college.
