During Shorecrest Service Week 2018, some Upper School students were part of the Art Abilities troupe. They performed at Shorecrest for The Experiential School, taught improv games to some Lower School grades, and performed at PARC. They also participated in PARC's monthly drum circle.
Students from The Experiential School enjoyed a stroll down to the Black Box Theatre, where the older Chargers acted out and discussed the lessons of Dr. Seuss' "The Sneetches." When older and younger students connect, everyone gets the opportunity to learn from each other. ES students asked questions about the story, costumes, and process of storytelling and the US students responded with genuine interest and desire to teach. A special thanks to Bill Leavengood '78 for leading the troupe and this intercampus relationship.
