Varsity Golf at The Vinoy Invitational and vs SPC

What a day the Chargers had at the Vinoy Invitational hosted by St. Petersburg High School. It was brutally hot out there, but the Chargers golfers battled and competed as hard as they could.
The girls team was comprised of Isabella Dolan '22, Rebecca Davis '23, and Sophia D '26; who shot 78, 80, and 81 respectively. This placed them as 2nd overall as a team, and Isabella's 78 was the 2nd lowest girls score in the whole match!
The boys team of Bill Bircher '22, Jack Satterfield '23, Tucker Simpson '22, and Daven F '24 played great against a tough field. Bill and Jack shot a 77 and 87.
"I really couldn't be more proud of the kids who competed today. It is an honor to be the coach of such a great group of kids!" gushed Coach Matt Thompson.

The wins keep rolling for the Chargers golf teams.
Channing Jung '21 improved his score against SPC by 12 strokes! He shot a 61 when we played them a couple of weeks ago and shot a 49 this week. The boys team took care of the Barons of SPC, 178-186.
The team is really coming into form and the Chargers have been putting up consistently good rounds for several weeks. Bill Bircher '22 led the way with a low match score of 38. Daven F '24 turned in a great score of 43, while Jack Satterfield '23, Channing Jung '21, Caleb Perez '23, and Tucker Simpson '22 posted scores of 48, 49, 52, and 54 respectively.
