Shorecrest Upper School's French Club completed a special service project. With money the club raised in past years from activities and fees, they were able to make a donation to Excellence Elementary School, a West African primary school in Louga, Senegal, which admits low income families. Chargers were able to give 60 students packs of 10 notebooks each.
The club connected with the school when Mr. Ndiaye joined the Shorecrest faculty; Louga is his hometown. The Director of the school emailed a thank you note in which he transmitted the parents' warm thanks.
This is the second time the French Club has given donations to students in Senegal. The first service project was in 2017.
