Then the Upper School Concert Band performed "Joy" by Frank Ticheli.

Recording Arts students were highlighted in a showcase with snippets from their own original, digitally produced works.

The Middle School Rock Bands took to the stage with smoke and mood lighting. The Black Demons took us back in time with "Twist and Shout" by The Beatles and "Old Time Rock n’ Roll" by Bob Seger. Critical Cruise crooned to "Evil Ways" by THE Carlos Santana and "Hit Me With Your Best Shot" by four-time Grammy Award winner Pat Benatar. Chaos in Control brought audiences back in the now with a rendition of "Rich Kids" by Bea Miller and also performed "Roam" by the B-52’s. Nearest Nowhere rocked out to "Fortunate Son" by Creedence Clearwater Revival, "Pressure" by Muse and the crowd pleaser "Separate Ways" by Journey.

A new Upper School rock band named Morris performed an original song called "Presently" as well as "Feels Like We Only Go Backwards" by Tame Impala. Will Clifford '20 and Scott Sauers '20 finished off the show with Will on vocals and guitar while Scott manned the keyboard for "King of Carrot Flowers" by Neutral Milk Hotel.

After the performances, Director and Conductor Ethan Updike honored musicians who were members of the Class of 2019 with his Tips for College. Parents then honored Mr. Updike with a standing ovation, thanking him for his dedication and exceptional teaching.
