Jensen Learns about Circuits

Last week, Mrs. Minke asked her kindergarten students to make a New Year's resolution that can improve their environment, health, and school work. Jensen said he wanted to learn about circuits. WIth help from our Lower School Media Specialist, Mrs. Smay, the road to his resolution is clear! Jensen and Mrs. Smay spent an hour exploring and tinkering in the Makerspace after school one day. Using a coin battery, LED light, circuit kits and Squishy Circuits conductive dough, Jensen was able to experiment, learn and design.
"Jensen did a fantastic job! I was so proud of him!" said Mrs. Smay.
Mrs. Smay runs the after school Monday Makers Club for second-fourth graders. This hands-on learning experience lets students have fun while making, repurposing and thinking like an engineer.
