Second graders took time at the beginning of their school year to focus on their hopes and dreams. "We dreamed big at first, like what they hope to be when they grow up, then narrowed down to what they can specifically focus on this year to grow as a student and get closer to that goal," said Michele Johnson, Second Grade Teacher.
Writing and depicting goals activates the imaginative right hemisphere of the brain as well as the logic-based left hemisphere. Studies show one may become 42% more likely to achieve goals simply by writing them down. The likelihood that desires are transformed into reality goes up even further if written goals are shared with a supportive friend.
Good luck to our second grade Chargers on achieving all you set out to do this year and beyond!
