Young Authors of Realistic Fiction Writing

First graders completed a unit of Realistic Fiction Writing. They started by creating a character for their story. Some chose to write about a person while others decided to use an animal as their main character. Young authors wrote about their characters working through a realistic problem and ending with a realistic solution. But they did not stop there! The Chargers took their main character on many adventures. Each adventure had a new problem and solution. As the unit concluded, first graders ended up with a boxed set of stories.

Mrs. Sheppard's first grade class was invited to be guest authors and share their stories in Mrs. Husenitza's fourth grade class.
