Project Linus 2015
January 22, 2015
On January 18th, 25 members of Interact Club gathered in the SAC for their annual Project Linus, where they made fleece blankets for sick children at All Children's Hospital.
Students were marking, cutting and tying knots to make soft, fun blankets for patients. The group also made 10 blankets for the neonatal unit at ACH to cover the intensive care incubators. This project was possible with the financial help of the St. Pete Sunrise Rotary that donated $244, which was half of the total cost.
The students chatted and listened to music and finished up with some pizza from our sponsor, Westshore. All participants felt good about the effort and made a delivery during Community Time on Thursday, January 22.
Interact has also been participating in a hygiene drive for Beacon House and St Pete Free Clinic.
