Seniors Host Regency Era Tea Party

Ms. Ekblad's senior English students hosted a class tea party after reading Jane Austen's "Pride and Prejudice." Students wore original costumes, baked authentic Regency Era treats (scones!), and/or researched etiquette in preparation for the day. Additionally, students were required to abide by Regency Era rules of conduct during the party, calling one another by English title aliases. This activity was part of a course entitled Studies in Culture, an Honors English senior elective.
