Neurons from Nature

Upper School News

Shorecrest Upper School students taking AP Psychology have been learning about how human biology relates to psychology. This week in class, they worked in groups to make neurons out of items found in nature to explain the process of neurotransmission. They also made fancy brain hats after learning about the cerebral cortex and what aspects of human behavior the different lobes are responsible for. As one student said while making a nature neuron, "Who says learning about biology can't be fun?"
