The Global Explorers program at Shorecrest promotes a global mindset in our students through cultural experiences, exchange programs, and travel opportunities. The Global Explorers goal is to encourage in our students a spirit of internationalism, adventure and leadership through experiences that teaches them appreciation and better understanding of world cultures.

Upcoming adventures for Chargers include:

Fourth and Fifth Graders: Shorecrest will welcome a visiting Mexican delegation from Escuela Ameyalli from January 30 - February 10, 2023. We will have four students in fourth Grade and 3 in fifth Grade. A presentation by the Mexican Delegation will be on Tuesday, February 1, from 1:50-2:20pm in the JRT.

Sixth Graders: CISV International Summer Program (students only) month-long international sleep-away summer camp

Upper School

Rising 9-12th Graders: Visit Italy, Greece and Turkey with Mr. Heller!
July 5 - 19, 2023.
The itinerary includes Rome, Florence, Meteora, Delphi, Athens, and a cruise to Mykonos, Santorini, Heraklion and Ephesus. The trip is through EF Tours, and limited to no space remains.

Rising 10-12 Grades: Centro Mundolengua Language Immersion homestay in Seville, Spain - June 3-17, 2023.
The two-week, immersion-based home-stay experience is an exceptional opportunity for those students who are driven to fertilize their language-learning abilities and enhance their proficiency in Spanish. This academic-based travel experience is one that will bring students up close and personal with not only the Spanish language, but also the products, practices and perspectives of those from the Andalucía region of Spain.

Summer 2024 Travel (not 2023):

The Alps and The Mediterranean Coast

A tour will be traveling to the following destinations over the course of 13 days: Zurich/Lucerne, Lake Como, Cinque Terre, Monaco, French Riviera, Provence, Barcelona, and Madrid. A general interest meeting will take place in the Band Room on Wednesday, November 16 at 6pm. This will be a quick meeting to introduce the trip and answer any questions.
