Shorecrest School

GRANDPARENT COUNCIL EVENTS

Grandparents

Thank you to everyone who attended last week's Grandparent Council Social at Colony Grill. It was a wonderful way to kick-off the year and meet new grandparents and reconnect with each other. Head of School, Nancy L. Spencer, told a wonderful story about her first meeting with Shorecrest Grandparents, and some guests shared their own Shorecrest stories and memories. These stories show the importance and impact of the Grandparent Council.

At this week’s first Grandparent Council meeting, Grandparent Council Chair, E. J. Mahoney, PhD led a conversation about the Council's goals and plans for the year. They also shared the importance of being involved in the Shorecrest Community. The reasons they shared were:
  • Create friendships with like-minded people
  • Support your grandchildren’s goals and aspirations
  • Support the Shorecrest community through community connections and engagement.
If your family was not able to attend these events, they were very much missed and we hope that you share this information with them. If you would like for your student(s) grandparent(s) to receive information about Grandparents Council please email Olivia Segalman, Associate Director of Advancement for Community Engagement and events.
