Interact and Honor Flight

Upper School News

This Thursday, November 20, the Interact Club had its monthly meeting. In addition to the usual club updates and event information, we also had a special guest come and speak about a veterans project - Honor Flight. This organization provides fully-funded transport for World War II veterans to the WWII memorial in Washington DC.

As a club, we wrote cards expressing our gratitude for their service. The participants in this project will open our cards while on their flight to the memorial. This was truly a memorable and meaningful experience!

Also, we are leading a drive to collect personal hygiene items for the Beacon House and the St. Petersburg Free Clinic. If you would like to participate, items such as toothpaste, toilet paper, and deodorant would be greatly appreciated. Please place items in the designated bins in Landy Lobby.

All in all, Interact Club had a great meeting and we are looking forward to another event-filled month.
