Charger Alumni receive Rotary Youth Leadership Awards

Congratulations to two of our recent graduates for being selected for Rotary Youth Leadership Awards. Summer Hughes '16 and Scott McNeill '16 received certifcates on Friday, May 20, at the St. Petersburg Yacht Club. They were each eligible for a $1000 cash award toward college expenses for the Distinguished High School Student of the Year. Summer won second place and $500 for her essay on "Service Above Self" at the luncheon.
A very special shout out to Upper School health teacher and Interact Club faculty sponsor Mrs. Newton (aka Mama Newt) for her outstanding leadership with the Upper School Interact Club and her overall support of service at Shorecrest.
