Ryan Healy '20 has been working backstage as Stage Manager the last few years at Shorecrest theatre productions. This fall, she dedicated her weekends to attending a 13-week Fashion Design program through The Dalí Museum to learn more about fashion and costume design. Workshops were held at The Dalí and the Pinellas County Center for the Arts (PCCA). Ryan designed an outfit worn to a culminating exhbition by fellow classmate Reilly O’Neill '20 (pictured). Ryan drew inspiration from a Dalí self portrait & Schiaparelli's work for her design.
The special exhibition featured 22 garments created by fashion designers from 18 local high schools. Together they explored the connection between art and fashion, creating runway-ready wearable art inspired by Salvador Dali & Elsa Schiaparelli.
