First Grade: Continuing Ocean Studies

First graders in Ms. Hawley's class had guest expert Mrs. St. Amand come to their class on Thursday. Mrs. St. Amand brought videos of ocean tides, videos of sea creatures she's encountered at the beach, and a video made by students showing the effects of plastics and trash on our oceans.
Then, students got to investigate and explore - just like scientists - things Mrs. St. Amand brought from the ocean. Students shared interesting things they found during their investigations and shared wonderings and questions they had.
