Shorecrest School

Where we are in our Transformation

Experiential School News

Charger Commons has become the centerpiece of our campus community. Just 78 people made the first floor of Charger Commons, Lower School playscape and greenspace possible. Since then, more than 200 families have joined the Transform Campaign, with half of these families contributing to a total of $652,413 during the first half of this year.

On November 15, at A Night to Rise, over 150 attendees were able to see what is in store for the second phase of this campaign. We heard from each of the school Heads, Chair of the Board of Trustees, and Headmaster Mike Murphy about the many reasons why we need to finish Transform. They each affirmed that Shorecrest is so much more than a school, it is a community of families with a common focus on creating lifelong learners and global citizens.

To date, only 26% of current families have given to Transform. That’s 1 in 4 families within this community. Imagine the possibilities when the full school community invests in the future of our children!

Driving past Charger Commons in carline, families are saying that the campus has never looked better! Each phase of the ongoing construction adds excitement and possibilities. But the immediate focus to rise up and finish the second floor is worth the reminder that Transform is far from complete.

Some of the most exciting academic spaces, two new libraries and media centers, a new Student Activity Center, The Learning Center and Lower School Art, Music and Spanish have yet to be realized and the fundraising to pay for these plans continues.

Last week, Shorecrest announced an anonymous challenge donation of $70,000 has been made with this vision in mind. The donors have challenged the Shorecrest community to match and exceed this philanthropic investment to the Transform Campaign by December 31, 2019. In the past week, we have raised $50,800 - putting us at a total of $100,800!

Double your impact by making a gift to Transform and help us provide facilities that match the quality of the classroom experience. Visit www.shorecrest.org/support to make a tax deductible gift that will help us exceed the match and raise at least an additional $140,000 as we start 2020.

Every gift - whether big or small - helps Shorecrest finish its Transformation!
