Shorecrest School

Creative LOR Requests

Upper School News

This is the time of year that members of the junior class often reach out to beloved faculty members or those faculty members with similar interests for a college letter of recommendation. Luckily, the close teacher-student relationships at Shorecrest yield letters from Upper School faculty about Chargers that truly come from the heart.

The College Counseling Team put a new twist on the process this spring, and asked the Class of 2021 - who can not approach their teachers in person due to the quarantine in place - to devise a creative way to approach their teachers.

Teachers are now sharing photos excitedly over email, seeing how students have "topped" each other in the asking process. The fun photos the teachers are receiving of cakes, posters, masks, still life art and more show not only the time and effort the students have bestowed, but also how well they know their teachers in return!

Thank you, College Counseling Team, for keeping #ShorecrestTogether while we are apart.
