Encouraging Classroom Recycling

As mentioned in last week's Ebytes, Shorecrest is starting the process of becoming an Ocean Guardian School, and first must demonstrate how Chargers can protect the Tampa Bay Watershed. Middle School students have promised to collect marine debris from campus and promote proper recycling throughout the year to help protect the ocean.
Last week the Upper School Environmental Club hosted a service event to support their cause. They painted a number of Middle School trash bins blue and added a recycling logo to help encourage recycling inside classrooms. Now students can easily distinguish between trash bins and those meant for recyclable items.
