On February 4, 2016, a crowd of over 50 Shorecrest alumni, parents, friends and St. Petersburg business leaders gathered to hear from community leaders just what's happening in St. Pete in the coming months. After some time for networking and refreshments, the crowd assembled in Shorecrest's state-of-the-art Janet Root Theatre to listen to Mayor Rick Kriseman, St. Petersburg Area Chamber of Commerce CEO Chris Steinocher and Shorecrest Head of School Mike Murphy each talk a bit about their perspective on the city. There was also time for each of them to answer pressing questions from the crowd.
Guests then had the opportunity to tour the school - including the innovative new Makerspace in the Shorecrest Media Center. All in all, it was a great evening - and those who braved the rain were glad they did!
