Tracie Belt Retires After 28 Years of Service
Longtime Shorecrest teacher and administrator Mrs. Tracie Belt has announced her decision to retire at the end of the 2023-2024 school year. Currently, the Associate Director and the Coordinator of the Middle and Upper School for the Center of Academic Excellence, Mrs. Belt has been an integral part of the Shorecrest Community since 1996 and has devoted 28 years of dedicated service to the School.
Upon joining the Shorecrest faculty, Tracie spent 20 years teaching Lower and Middle School before taking on the role of Director and coordinator of the Learning Center (TLC) in 2010. In 2018, Tracie became the Associate Director of the CAE and continued her role as coordinator of the Middle and Upper School for the Center of Academic Excellence.
Mrs. Belt has expressed her love for her time at Shorecrest and her transition to her new role as a Shorecrest Grandparent. Tracie looks forward to visiting her daughter, Casey Belt Giroud '02, in the MS/US library, as well as her grandchildren, Lucas '32 and Juliana '35. Tracie will always hold Shorecrest close to her heart.
