Congratulations to senior Pete L. for being selected by the "Tampa Tribune" and voted on by the Community as Pinellas County Male Athlete of the Week! He was chosen for his win in the Class 1A-District 9 tennis singles championship and the No. 1 doubles title. Peter, a Shorecrest "lifer," is looking to defend his state title this season before graduating and heading to Brown.
Athletic Director Jeff Raab said, "Peter's always been a dedicated player. All the Chargers wish him his best at the state championship!."
Two weeks later, Brighthouse Sports Network also named Pete Athlete of the Week!

"No matter what the sport, it's hard to win back-to-back titles," they reported. "But, with the mental toughness he's developed this season, Shorecrest Prep Senior Peter L used speed and a killer forehand to defend his 1A State title. Pete, who is currently ranked #5 in the state and 29th in the nation, will continue his tennis career in the highly competitive Ivy League Conference."
