Students Clean up Charger Channel

Upper School News Service News

Ten Upper School students launched Shorecrest’s eight boats to help clean up trash on campus. The trip was launched out of the Native Classroom and paddled down the Charger Channel. Students Luke McDevitt ‘20 and Erin Mullins ‘20, Presidents of the Shorecrest Outdoor Club, hosted the trip to get Chargers involved in fun and productive ways to help the environment and the local community.

Students collected several pounds of trash, making a noticeable difference in local water-ways. The Shorecrest Outdoor Club plans to do more paddle clean-ups in the future involving and educating even more students.
