It’s always a treat to participate in joint Experiential School / Lower School experiences, and our annual Poetry in the Park is one of the favorites. This special morning is an early oratory experience of reciting in front of a large group of people, and Shorecrest’s youngest students acquitted themselves very well. Not only did they recite their poems loudly and clearly, they also proved that they are very capable of sitting and listening to others as a very respectful audience.

HOW THE WIND DOTH BLOW!
This week Mrs. Craver’s class weather project focused in on one of Mother Nature's most interesting forces - wind! To further experience this special aspect of weather, the class, in small groups visited the Wonder Studio right on Shorecrest's campus. At the Wonder Studio, they got to use a very unique tool, a wind tunnel. Using leaves and scarves, singly and, at times, in bunches, the children giggled with delight as they felt the wind blow in their faces and explored how wind naturally picks up objects and moves them around.
