The Experiential School of Tampa Bay, which houses our 3-5 year old Chargers, often focuses on social learning and the opportunity to participate in experiences between grade levels and divisions - balanced with the time to establish strong roots in a student's home classroom. Teachers and older Chargers foster secure relationships that help students feel safe to take risks, try new things, play and explore.
In an active and social learning community, students capably engage in hands-on experiences and joyfully investigate with friends and teachers. Learning may be one-on-one, in a small group of three or four same age peers, or with a whole class or mixture of students working together of different age groups. This week an Alpha class visited Junior Kindergarten to play. Last week, Upper School students studying child psychology visited the junior kindergarten and played games in small groups. Students also enjoy close bonds and times with their immediate classmates and teachers in their room.
