We all know that we all come from different places. The history of our ancestors and the story we write today traces this blue planet of ours with countless lines.
As life unfolds and generations choose which traditions they will honor, we look for connection, we look back and remind ourselves of why we are who we are.
The beauty of a school like Shorecrest is in the diversity we celebrate through moments like the International Festival. This experience is evidence of the attention our school gives to the sense of belonging, to the idea that Shorecrest is indeed our place.
I will say that seeing my littles holding the Brazilian flag made it all 10 times more special! I might have shed a tear… or many.
