The eighth grade has begun to celebrate after finishing the grade-wide Water Bottle Challenge that lasted about 8 weeks. The challenge was to stop using single-use water bottles and replace them with reusable water bottles. The first advisory to use 100% reusable water bottles for 5 full days was the group to win a field trip of their choice.
The Jeakle-Williams advisory won and was able to go bowling on Tuesday. The trip was a great success as you can see in the attached photo.
Frey-Scoby and Dionne-Montoya advisories are going to the park for lunch next week because they were the advisories to be single-use water bottle free for the longest time.
The goal of the challenge was to create awareness and attempt to teach our youth that single-use use water bottles are unhealthy for our environment. We hope that students continue using their reusable water bottles for the benefit of the environment that surrounds them.
