Chargers Perform in USF Symphonic Celebration
The University of South Florida School of Music presented their annual “Symphonic Celebration” on April 26-28, 2024. The Festival featured two concert bands and one jazz band comprised of middle school students, nominated by their band directors, from public and private schools throughout Florida. Shorecrest Middle School students James D. ’29 (Trumpet), Zoe N. '28 (Flute) and Nikos T. ’29 (Trombone) were selected to perform.
Each year the festival invites three guest conductors from around the United States to direct the various bands. The students also experienced a multitude of concerts, masterclasses, and clinics hosted by USF's School of Music faculty with a goal of providing students with the highest levels of musical experiences through education and performance opportunities.
