Congratulations to Musician Ella C. '30
Congratulations to Ella C. '30 for being named first chair flutist in the Tampa Metropolitan Youth Orchestra. This is an honors orchestra that is composed primarily of high school wind, string, and percussion students who perform full-scale works from the repertoire. Under the direction of Dr. William Wiedrich, the orchestra also provides rigorous, musically-rich training for young musicians preparing for advanced study in the nation’s finest music schools and conservatories.
Ella was also selected as a Division II Virtual Winner in the 2024 Miclot International Music Competition, a competition open to students ages 6-18. The mission of the Miclot International Music Competition is to inspire artists to pursue their vision and tireless advocacy of music-making and embrace new generations of artists and audiences.
