Fifth Grade Shares Book Projects

Middle School News

In fifth grade English, Mrs. Tatelbaum's students shared their first Book Write-up Projects. These projects are creations that the students present to their classmates on books they're reading for independent reading time throughout the year.

Each month, the fifth graders present trailers, PowerPoint presentations, posters, scrapbooks and other unique creative projects to their peers. Lillee B. shared her barn project on "
Eight Keyes" by Suzanne LaFleur, which was extremely creative and unique, prompting her classmate Walker T. to whisper, "Your project is amazing, Lillee."

Hannah D. shared her beautiful artwork for the magical story "
A Snicker of Magic" by Natalie Llyod. We learned about delicious words like splendiferous.

Jackie shared her multi-genre project on "
White Fur Flying" by Patricia MacLachlan, that incorporated nonfiction information on dog breeds, a poem written by a character in the story, as well as a narrative summary of the text.

These are just a few highlighted projects, but each one was wonderful and exciting to share!
