Shorecrest Outdoor Club is hosting a coastal cleanup on campus in support of the conservation effort of Blue Ocean Film Festival. The Grand Community Cleanup at Shorecrest will be Nov 12, 9am.
Bring your own boat (kayak, canoe, SUP) or let us know if you want to rent a boat (limited number). **Any participant who brings their own boat/watercraft must bring a PFD/life jacket required by law.** We will launch out of our native classroom beside Haskell Field and clean up the channel that is part of our Pinellas BlueWays water trails.
Participants get a Blue Ocean Pass to attend one of the films at the festival! Upper School students will also earn service hours.
Students/Participants must register in order to participate. Sign up here: https://goo.gl/forms/Xke6TP48UcsPZrBZ2
Special thanks to Mrs. Jeakle’s eighth grade Marine program for prepping and cleaning the Native Classroom and launch site on Nov. 11 prior to our Saturday work to also support BLUE Ocean!
Let’s preserve the beauty of our waterways!
