Learning from Jan Brett

The Junior Kindergartners embarked on the study of several authors this week, and began with Jan Brett. They not only listened to their teachers read many of this favorite author’s books, but also watched a video of the author talking about how she drew the main character of "Mossy". As she described how she drew the turtle, the children tried their hand at drawing their own version of Mossy.
Another of the children’s favorite’s was "Hedgie Blasts Off", and the Chargers had a blast designing their own rockets from paper and collage materials.
