It was a busy Florida summer at The Experiential School even though we were closed during those months! Mrs. Jotch, with the help of some of our other committed Shorecrest Preparatory School teachers and supportive maintenance department, enhanced our preschool playground and decks to truly become an outdoor classroom. Next to the sandbox, removal of a storage shed created a kid-friendly construction site that has quickly become a favorite spot!
Of course, we couldn’t forgot how important music is, so Mrs. Jotch created a music wall where, since it’s outdoors, the children can “play their instruments” as loudly as they want. They were also excited to get a sneak peek at the standing chime frame that will soon be installed!
The nature art table and shelves on the shaded deck provide hours of creativity and learning as the girls and boys arrange and rearrange the natural materials into endless designs. It is amazing to see the collaboration and appreciation of others’ efforts that are already taking place.

And that’s not all... there are many more moving parts to come, and very soon our preschool students will enter the world of gardening as they do our fall planting of vegetables in our brand new raised garden beds. Keep reading Ebytes to see more about our outdoor adventures!
