Coastal Awareness Program: Visit to Weedon Island

As part of the Coastal Awareness Program, eighth graders traveled to Weedon Island Preserve on Friday, September 4. Students served as naturalists with the goal of learning characteristics of common plants and animals within the preserve. Emma Mason, a guide from Weedon Island, took the students on a tour of the boardwalk as they took photographs and some noted main characteristics of some of the species in the preserve.
