Over the last 11+ years, Shorecrest has raised an outstanding total of over $1,000,000 benefiting American Cancer Society. Here's how that has impacted the local community:
- More than 3,100 trips through the Road to Recovery program - providing transportation to and from treatment for people with cancer who are unable to drive themselves
- Assistance with patient lodging, which includes Hotel Partners and the Hope Lodge in Tampa
- Two 'Look Good Feel Better' sessions in Pinellas County for patients
- Free personal health managers for newly diagnosed patients in the community
Relay For Life of Shorecrest is Friday, April 7.
Schedule of events:
3-6pm: Setup & booths open
6pm: Opening Lap
9:30pm: Luminaria Ceremony
10:30pm: Closing Ceremony
Throughout the night there will be food, games, activities, a DJ and many ways for you to socialize while supporting American Cancer Society. The theme this year is Olympics, so look for food and decor from countries around the world.
Find karaoke at the Thespians booth - If they raise $100, Headmaster Mike Murphy will sing “Bye, Bye Blackbird”! If we raise $1,000, Mr. Murphy, we will sing any song we tell him to sing!
