Shorecrest School

Upcoming Conference Day, Feb. 9

Experiential School News

One of the strongest pillars of any great educational approach is the partnership between school and families.

In the root of the word CONFERENCE is the latin term conferre, which means to ‘bring together’.

If we dig a bit deeper: com "together" + ferre "to bear, carry".

I like to look at conferences as a renewed chance to sit together and discuss some of our favorite topics: your children and their ways of learning.

Child development is this very complex puzzle that can only be assembled if all parts involved work in harmony. Conferences give us a chance to shuffle that box again. We can also establish goals, define priorities and discuss concerns. We talk about the future.

Above all, we look at each other and remind ourselves of the strong commitment that brought us together. When our paths crossed and you made the decision to share your child with us, Shorecrest’s mission and core values resonated with you.

Thank you for your trust and we hope to see you on Wednesday for Spring Conferences.

“The future is tomorrow and I can only imagine it… I think it’s… a lovely day.”
