Shorecrest will be in session as regularly scheduled on Monday, October 3.

ATHLETICS UPDATES
  • The Varsity Football game planned for this evening has been rescheduled to Monday, October 3 at 6pm.
  • The Middle School Volleyball tournament planned for Saturday, October 1 will continue as planned.
MAKEUP DAYS
In order to maintain the number of school days required for Shorecrest’s accreditation, school will be in session for half days on Friday, October 7 and Friday, November 4. Both days were previously scheduled as faculty professional days. They will now be half days for all students, Alpha-12th grade, understanding that families may have made previously scheduled commitments. Extended Day will be available for both half days.

We are preserving Monday, April 24 as a Hurricane Makeup Day in the school calendar in an abundance of caution in the unlikely event that Shorecrest may need to close again due to weather.

SUPPORTING EACH OTHER &
OUR NEIGHBORS TO THE SOUTH
Shorecrest community members who are without power are welcome to come to the Raymund Center to charge devices. Staff will be on campus until 4pm, Friday, September 30.

Shorecrest leadership has reached out to fellow independent school heads in southwest Florida to offer our community’s support in the aftermath of Hurricane Ian. In the weeks and months ahead, our community will identify ways to help our neighbors to the south who experienced this natural disaster.

We look forward to seeing our students, faculty and staff back on campus Monday and to getting back into their familiar school routines.
