Shorecrest School

eSmart Recycling, through Feb 4

Home Page

The Shorecrest Interact Service Club is pleased to partner with eSmart Recycling for the One Million Laptops Campaign, an international campaign to bring technology to underserved communities.

eSmart Recycling, located in Tampa, recycles computers and electronics to set up tech incubators for kids without access to technology all over the world. The company is the 2016 Sustainable Business Award Winner in the small business category. They provide certificates for secure data destruction of hard drives.

While donations are ongoing throughout the calendar year, Shorecrest and eSmart are hosting a month-long drive for tech donations. The drive is sponsored by the Shorecrest Chapter of Interact, an Upper School service club from Tuesday, January 3 through Saturday, February 4 (STEAMfest.) Donations can be dropped off at any Administrative Office as well as the Library at Shorecrest Preparatory School.

Please consider donating any old laptops, computers, electronics, phones, and tablets. The recycled items from the Shorecrest drive will be used to provide a tech incubator at Academy Prep Center of St. Petersburg. If you would like a certificate of your device's secure data destruction, please label your donation with your email address and the certificate will be emailed to you. eSmart does not repurpose or resell any hard drives.
