Community Survey Coming Soon - Help Shape the Future of Shorecrest

This year begins our accreditation process, a quinquennial (every five years) process where Shorecrest is evaluated on all aspects of school life, as set by the standards established by the Florida Council of Independent Schools. The accreditation process begins with a year of self-study and will include a survey to members of the school community. All current families, faculty and staff, trustees, alumni, and students (grades 6-12) will be invited to participate in a community survey starting next week. Adults will receive an email with instructions when the survey is ready. Students will take the survey on campus during an advisory period.
This forward-looking survey was created by ISACS, the Independent Schools Association of the Central States, in partnership with The Kensington Group, a strategic consulting group for non-profits, and is used by hundreds of independent schools like Shorecrest for accreditation and strategic planning purposes. Shorecrest has used this tool for its last three accreditation cycles, which allows us to look at the results over time, noting shifts in our community’s feedback. It also allows us to compare ourselves against other similar schools who have used the ISACS survey.
The survey is anonymous, and I encourage everyone to participate and offer their candid insights. This is your opportunity to offer input into both the accreditation process - during which we’ll identify areas to invest time and resources in the immediate term - and strategic planning - your feedback will be used to help shape the upcoming strategic plan, which identifies areas of focus for the long term.
All the best,
Nancy
