Fourth graders get creative during the year in two design challenges. The first design challenge was last week. They discussed the creative process and problem solving, the mindset used in the Makerspace. Working in small groups and using their recent studies of waste and the environment, students were asked to invent "harmless holders." They were challenged with using basic household materials to create a replacement for traditional, plastic 6-pack holders.
