Making Spanish Games from Scratch

Lower School News

Fourth grade students used Scratch, a visual programming language, to code games in Spanish class. With the assistance of Señora Laura and Ms. Deegan the fourth graders created games to teach first and second graders Spanish vocabulary. Over a period of several weeks, students designed vocabulary posters in Spanish and English and developed games in small groups - each game targeting at a different theme. Then they introduced their games to first and second graders. They had a blast playing the educational games together, increasing vocabulary while having fun!
