Baila Baila Latinoamérica

Lower School News

Shorecrest second graders presented their final project in Spanish class after three years of continuous Spanish skill improvement in kindergarten, first, and second grade. Through a performance entitled "Baila Baila Latinoamérica," the students focused on dances from Latin America. On stage the children shared about Latin American countries - fascinating facts and the unique rhythms of each region. Families gathered in the Janet Root Theatre to witness their children's progress in Spanish after three years of cultural and linguistic exposure.

Lower School Spanish Teacher Emili Jaime-Allwood shared, "It was heartwarming to see the students enjoy and embrace a new culture through their hard work and dedication in the presentations. It was a wonderful way to wrap up three years in my Spanish class!"
