Ms. Horne's sister, Kelsey, visited recently from St. Paul, Minnesota. She is a flight attendant for Delta Airlines. The class read "The Airport Book" by Lisa Brown and transformed the classroom into airplane-style seating.
Kelsey demonstrated what she says and does during flights, and students had the opportunity to ask questions about her job, interesting experiences and airplanes. Some questions asked were, "Do you like being a flight attendant?" "Where are your favorite places to fly?" and "How much gas does an airplane need?" Students received complementary snacks that Delta serves on their aircrafts.
